“Have your elf a merry little Christmas”

Over 290 runners joined us at our first Mental Elf Festive Fun Run on Sunday.  Our 5k course took our elf entrants – many decked out in their finest Christmas fancy dress – round the picturesque Trentham Gardens.

Kate Boundy, Chief Executive at North Staffs Mind was part of the finish line welcoming party during the event.

“We were absolutely blown away by the high level of support for our 1^st ever Mental Elf run.  Runners, staff, volunteers and sponsors helped us to ensure that everyone enjoyed the day whether they were aiming for a 5K personal best or enjoyed a gentle walk around the course’ she said.

‘We would particularly like to thank our headline sponsor Travelworld who also bought one of their impressive motorhomes along to support the event along with a team of runners.’

Mike Copeland – AKA The Fridge Man – was amongst those taking part in the event wearing his fridge on his back as he prepares to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for North Staffs Mind and awareness of mental health in March 2023.  You can find out more about Mike’s world beating attempt HERE
