Staffordshire housing team takes on a skydive challenge to raise funds for local mental health services

Man and woman jump from plane skydive challenge 2026
A brave team from a Newcastle-under-Lyme-based housing group is preparing to take fundraising to new heights this June, as they gear up for a thrilling 13,000ft skydive challenge in support of North Staffs and Cheshire Mind.

Seven colleagues from Aspire Housing have signed up to take the leap on 6 June, all with the shared goal of raising vital funds to support local mental health services. The skydive challenge marks just one of many fundraising activities taking place throughout 2026, after Aspire Housing chose North Staffs and Cheshire Mind as their Charity of the Year.

Each participant is committed to making a difference, helping to ensure that people across North Staffordshire and Cheshire can access the mental health support they need. From conquering personal fears to supporting friends, family members, and communities affected by mental health challenges, every jump represents a powerful show of support.
Funds raised from the skydive will go directly towards supporting North Staffs and Cheshire Mind’s vital work, including counselling, wellbeing support, and community outreach services across the region.

We are incredibly grateful to the Aspire Housing team for their dedication and ongoing support. Challenges like this not only raise essential funds but also help spark important conversations around mental health.
