Why Donate?
By donating to North Staffs and Cheshire Mind, you help us to provide vital mental health services to people across our local community. We simply cannot support the growing number of people who need us without your help.
There are several ways you can help us. You can make a one-off donation, take part in a fundraising activity, or choose to make North Staffs and Cheshire Mind your Charity of the Year. Whichever route you choose, it means so much to us.
What your donation means to us
Any donation helps, as it all adds up and allows our essential services to grow.
£5 – Can fund a call to our helpline, providing someone with vital support and information
£12 – Can provide a web chat session, giving an adult who is struggling with their mental health someone to reach out to
£20 – Can help to fund an initial consultation for talking therapy
£50 – Can run a support group session, helping people to connect with others and feel less alone
£120 – Can provide half a day of mental health workshops in a school, raising awareness and supporting young people with their mental health
All your donation stays within Cheshire, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, and anything you can donate today, makes a huge difference for tomorrow.
Gift Aid It
If you’re eligible, you can help your donation go even further by adding Gift Aid.
When you donate through our website or JustGiving, you’ll be asked to confirm that you’re eligible for Gift Aid.
If you’re making a donation in person at one of our offices, you can download and complete a Gift Aid form and hand it in with your donation.
Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you. That means your donation can go even further towards supporting local people with their mental health. 💙
To be eligible, you must have paid enough Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year to cover the amount of Gift Aid we claim.
Donating through Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a simple way to support North Staffs and Cheshire Mind through your salary.
Your donation is taken directly from your pay before tax, which means you can give to us while paying less tax on that amount. For example, if you donate £10 through Payroll Giving, the amount it costs you will be less than £10, depending on your tax rate.
Some employers also offer matched giving, meaning they may match some or all of your donation. This could make your donation go even further.
Regular Payroll Giving donations are particularly valuable to us because they provide a reliable source of income. This helps us plan ahead, develop new services and continue providing support to local people.
Interested in donating through Payroll Giving? Please get in touch with us using our Contact Us form and we’ll be happy to help.
