Local Mind Week at North Staffs and Cheshire Mind

From 3-9 August we are celebrating Local Mind Week 2026.

From Monday 3 August, we’re marking Local Mind Week 2026, a chance to celebrate the difference Local Minds make in communities across England, Wales and the Channel Islands.

Did you know?

There are around 100 Local Minds across the Mind network, each working locally to support people with their mental health.

In 2024–25, Local Minds supported more than 661,000 people through over 1,300 different services. Thousands of people also volunteered their time to support their local Mind and the communities around them.

What does it mean to be a local Mind?

North Staffs and Cheshire Mind is part of the Mind federation, a network of around 100 independent Local Minds. While we share the same vision as Mind, each Local Mind is an independent charity, providing services that meet the needs of the communities it serves.

We’re #YourLocalMind

Following the merger of Mid Cheshire Mind and North Staffs Mind in 2024, we’re proud to support people across North Staffordshire and Cheshire as North Staffs and Cheshire Mind with a range of mental health and wellbeing services.

While we’re one big family working alongside the national Mind charity, North Staff and Cheshire Mind raises funds independently to help support the mental health of the people in North Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Cheshire.

Being local means we know our communities and understand that everyone’s mental health journey is different. By listening to the people we support, we can provide services that respond to local needs and help people across North Staffordshire and Cheshire get the right support when they need it.

Last year we supported over 10,000 adults, children and young people.
