- Speak Up Space
Speak up Space is an integral part of the Stay Well CYP Service which is commissioned by Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Stoke-on-Trent Clinical Commissioning Group. It’s aim is to improve the wellbeing of children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent through a range of innovative services provided by Changes YP in partnership with ourselves and the Dove Service.
Speak up Space itself is an instant messaging service for young people under the age of 18 which can be accessed 5 evenings a week during the times given below:
Tuesday- 6pm-9pm
Wednesday- 5pm-8pm
Thursday- 6pm-9pm
Friday- 8pm-11pm
Sunday- 8pm-11pm
To access the service, just click on Speak Up Space link below, select ‘Instant Messaging’ then click on the chat bubble at the bottom right-hand side of the screen, which will appear when we are online. The chats are anonymous and confidential and generally last around 45 minutes. Young people can talk to our non-judgemental practitioners about anything that is important to them, as often as they wish to.
There is also a wealth of online self-help resources available on the Speak Up Space website for both young people and parents that you can download or view if you don’t feel ready for a chat.

Maccas Project
The Maccas project was created in memory of a young man called Tom McCauley who sadly took his own life at the age of 19 in August 2012.
