Meet like-minded people and enjoy the support of a group

Social support groups are a great place to meet new people, build self-confidence and gain support for everyday life.

Anyone who is experiencing mental health issues is welcome to attend our Tuesday night group and no referral is necessary. We do have regular group members who attend each week and anyone over the age of 18 can 'Drop In' and receive support.

We do various social activities and each week we offer art and craft, music, karaoke, board games. quizzes and the like but one to one support is also available for anyone experiencing mental/emotional or practical difficulties.

The group's focus wasn't about talking about your problems within a group setting, although this does happen sometimes and members mutually help and support each other too.

In the olden days when we were allowed to go out, we held our Tuesday night group at the Observatory, Bucknall old Rd, Hanley every Tuesday between 6pm and 9pm.

Since Covid, we have been conducting the sessions online via video chats every Tuesday evening, with one to one support for some members if required via a private phone call.

If you are interested in joining our Tuesday night group please email Zhenka at zhenkabowers@nsmind.org.uk or call on 07917 818355.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to know more.
