Want to get involved?

We're always looking for people with lived experience of mental health issues to support and improve our work. We are committed to ensuring meaningful service user engagement in all aspects of our work. Learning from the insights gained by people with lived experience of mental health issues is key to improving the work we do and the services we provide, as well as ensuring that we are more effective at meeting the needs of our clients and service users.

We recognise that everyone has something of value to bring in terms of expertise and experience, as well as wanting to become involved in a variety of different ways. Sharing your lived experience can be beneficial for many reasons:

  • taking on board the experiences you have gone through helps us to make improvements
  • helps you to feel valued, respected and understood
  • increases your confidence and self esteem
  • helps to increase your knowledge; practise existing skills and develop new ones

We value our connections with the wider local community we serve, and find that our clients and service users, past and present, often wish to give something back to the organisation. Service users can become involved in several ways by:
