MindZone Project Lead
15 hours per week
Scale SO1 Point 29 £26,682 pro rata (actual £10,817 f for 15 hours per week)
Mindzone is a confidential drop-in support service for young people aged 11-18 across Staffordshire. At Mindzone, we facilitate weekly psychoeducational and interactive workshops in a group setting, as well as provide 1:1 counselling for existing Mindzone clients and any drop-in clients.
The Mindzone Project Lead will be required to manage and work as a part of the Mindzone team. The Project Lead will be working alongside two Younger Mind Counsellors and a Volunteer, and will be closely supported by the Younger Mind Services Manager.
The post will be a 2 day post, with a total of 15 hours:
- Mondays: 7.5 hours:
- 5 hours at North Staffs Mind (83 Marsh Street);
- 4 hours at the RVS (29 Charles Street) where Mindzone is run from 5-9PM.
- Another day of the week (to be jointly decided by Managers once post has been appointed): 7.5 hours:
- Within Schools, facilitating Mindzone Tier 1 Workshops.
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and their commitment to supporting young people whilst helping to break down the barriers of stigma in mental health. This post will enable you to gain a wide range of experience of working with young people, develop knowledge and awareness of mental health issues and have access to further training, all of which will support you to grow professionally.
