North Staffs Mind, an independent charity providing a range of services for people who are experiencing mental health issues, is currently looking to recruit to the following roles:

Schools Counselling Team Manager

£15,652 per annum for 21 hours per week, permanent role.

Job Description and Person Specification

This post will oversee the work of Younger Mind’s Schools Counselling service, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of the existing service whilst promoting the service offer to schools/clusters of schools that may wish to commission in future years. The Manager will ensure that the service offer is of a high and consistent quality and will support a team of schools counsellors to deliver effective therapeutic interventions to children and young people.


Parenting Practitioner

£12,253 per annum for 18.5 hours per week, 12 month contract in the first instance.

Job Description and Person Specification

The Parenting Practitioner will develop a pilot project to run initially for twelve months, providing parenting support across our Younger Mind services in Hanley, Newcastle and Stafford to parents and carers of families with children under the age of 10. The postholder will establish the project, implement and evidence outcomes using recognised monitoring tools, with a view to supporting the organisation to obtain future funding.


Wellbeing Practitioner

£10,621 per annum for 18.5 hours per week, 12 month contract in the first instance.

Job Description and Person Specification

The Wellbeing Practitioner will work across the Younger Mind service, providing a range of low intensity therapeutic interventions to young people aged 11-18 years. The postholder will be expected to work in locations identified as suitable to provide the service, on an outreach basis as required.


Community Fundraiser

£13,223 per annum for 21 hours per week, 12 month contract in the first instance.

Job Description and Person Specification

The Community Fundraiser will generate funds for North Staffs Mind by creating and managing a range of events and fundraising initiatives, building relationships with the local community and working with third party supporters to raise the profile of the organisation and mental health more generally.
