Based at Newcastle-Under-Lyme Office:

  • Administrator 20 hours per week £17,681-£18,672 gross per annum (£9,557-£10,093 actual)

North Staffs Mind is an independent charity, committed to providing the highest possible quality and diversity of services for people experiencing mental health difficulties. We are currently looking to employ an experienced Administrator to work in our Younger Mind office in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Excellent administrative, communication and IT skills must be evidenced–a comprehensive understanding of Word, Excel and other software including bespoke databases and spreadsheets will also be essential (please refer to the Person Specification/Job Description below for more information). The successful applicant will need to engage with both young people and adults in a professional manner and will be expected to work one late evening per week.

Please note that this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check (the cost of this will be met by North Staffs Mind)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Adult Service

We are currently looking for qualified Counsellors to volunteer at North Staffs Mind in the Adult Counselling Team. Counselling is a more formal role and we can only accept volunteers who are qualified at Diploma/ Masters Level in Counselling. For more details see the Role Description and Person Specification below.

Younger Mind

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in sharing their skills and experiences to support the work we do within the Younger Mind service. We are particularly interested in people who have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Counselling
  • Social Media
  • Administration
  • Working with young people in a drop-in/group setting
  • Business related experience
  • Fundraising

The hours available would vary and depend on your availability. The volunteer roles are subject to interview and satisfactory DBS checks.
