The gig at Kidsgrove Town Hall on Thursday, December 21, will feature Mark Barrie as Barry Gibb and UK Björn, a tribute act for the Swedish pop band.
It is being organised by Wade Booth, landlord at The Rising Sun in Scholar Green, Stoke. The publican, who also runs The Victoria Tap Room bar in the town hall, said: “I chose to raise money for North Staffs Mind because myself and my family have all experienced mental health problems at some point. It can affect anyone at any time and there’s still a stigma attached to it.
“We’ve got 200 tickets up for sale for what promises to be a fantastic evening for a great local charity.”
Kerri Louise Robinson, 41, stars as Frida in UK Björn. She said: “At Christmas everyone is up for a party. It’s going to be a 70s spectacular and a great night.
“We’ve been going for six years and we’re based in Alsager, so we’re a local band and we love playing to local audiences. We’re thrilled to be supporting North Staffs Mind because we know it will help people in North Staffordshire.”
The show starts at 8pm, and the bar is open 7-11.30pm. The organiser of a party of ten or more goes free, and receives a free bottle of fizz.
Tickets are £12.50, with £1.50 per person being donated to North Staffs Mind. Visit www.wegottickets.com/event/422213.
